WISDOM
JOY
BALANCE
FREEDOM
CHOICE!!!!!
SELF”
By Jo Coudert
Excerpt from Advice from a Failure, copyright 1965
“The single relationship truly central and crucial in a life is the relationship to the self.
It is rewarding to find someone who you like, but it is essential to like yourself.
It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable.
It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things.
For you cannot live in someone else.
You cannot be given a life by someone else.
Of all the people you will know in a lifetime, you are the only one you will never leave or lose.
To the question of your life, you are the only answer.
To the problem of your life, you are the only solution.”

Hi Everyone!
Can you believe another season has flown past? I’m startled by how quickly summer came and went in our region. This past weekend, while out walking on our land, I suddenly realized the trees are changing color, and today, a sharp north wind is dropping temps toward the frost mark. It seems the speed at which the days go by is sometimes staggering.
I’m hearing from people around the world that I am not the only one having this experience: Many of you share how time seems to be moving quickly for you. Additionally, I hear how many people are experiencing rapid change, often in several areas of life simultaneously. With so much going on, internally as well as externally, we often feel challenged to keep up with ourselves. And, as you may already know – all too well - change can trigger resistance.
In this month’s Going Beyond, you’ll find tips on moving beyond resistance to embrace the possibilities that show up during times of rapid change.
Also, you'll see a new feature in this issue: An audio download featuring an imagery process, to support you with embracing change and moving through resistance. Please feel free to share this with your friends!
As a part of my own intentional change, I travel to Las Vegas in early November, to attend Ali Brown’s SHINE event. Ali is a master of recognizing and harnessing new business models, for her own success as well as for those she mentors and teaches. I intend to learn from this expert in entrepreneurship new ways to expand both my self and my business. Stay tuned for updates next month!
For those of you interested in learning more about this fabulous leading edge resource for entrepreneurs, go to
where you can access an audio in which Ali shares some of her business building secrets.
And wherever you are, may the changing of this season and the changes in your life bring you joy and peace!
Hugs all!
Lyn

Going Beyond the Inertia of Resistance
Ahhhh, resistance! That special place where the desire to grow collides head-on with the need to remain safe and comfortable. Humans are funny that way.
Resistance shows up when you are attached to the comfort of the known, or you fear moving into the unknown. It can be as simple as being attached to being right, so that you resist making peace with someone you find annoying, or you remain angry with a teen who does not clean his/her room.
Or resistance can be based in clinging to what we know best, and therefore trust. When I work with people on their scarcity issues, we often explore their fear that success will alienate them from those they love. Being stuck with challenges around cash flow can be based in a belief that acceptance by others requires limiting yourself to their reality. Stated simply: The need for acceptance can create resistance to abundance, especially if your “tribe of origin” does not foster an abundance mentality. Read the rest of this article... |
