TRANSFORMATION CORNER

Self support process in discovering and using the power of I can’t:

1) Make a list of any place in your life you don’t have the movement you want OR anything that has stubbornly resisted being changed to be more of what you want.
a. EX: the stacks in  your office, that last 5 pounds you want to lose, getting a job in today’s economy.

2) Now list any possible limiting beliefs related to those areas of non-movement.
a. EX: I don’t have time to get my office the way I want it to be, My weak back doesn’t allow  me to exercise, I’m not the kind of person to promote myself to others.

3) Discover the version of “I can’t” in the limiting belief. It may be obvious or it may be subtle.
a. Ask yourself: What am I saying is not possible? Where is the “I can’t” in this belief?

4) Listen to the companion audio for this issue of GB, to take this self exploration process further.

For facilitated support when you’re ready to fully access the power and possibility of the “I can’ts” in your life, contact Lyn’s office.

Dear Intrepid Self Discover-ers,

Have you ever had one of those days, weeks, years when you threw everything in your life up into the air and started sifting through it all, to determine what still fits or you? Well, that’s exactly what the past 12 months have been for me.

This year has been one of intense discovery in Lyn-Land, as I’ve reviewed and regrouped everything from relationships to spiritual beliefs to how I want to play in the world at this point in my path.

Along the way, I pulled energy out of the Going Beyond newsletter to focus in other directions.  I’m also hearing from many people around the world that I’m hardly the only person doing this reviewing, sifting and sorting through life, priorities and choices. If you’re experiencing something similar, please know it is perfect that you are feeling the cosmic call to “get your house in order” on an updated basis.

You may have changed what you mean by “your house” or “in order.” And along the way, you may have also encountered obstacles and challenges, which provide incredible fruit for discovery. Hence this issue’s article on Harvesting the Power of I Can’t.

At any rate, I am happy to be back in contact with you, and as always, welcome your input. Please let us hear from you: Do you enjoy the articles and find them helpful? Do you prefer the audio tools?

Either way, please know it is still my desire to support your journey of expansion, as you continue to go beyond where you are now!

Enjoy!

In celebration of the adventure,

Harvesting the Power of “I Can’t”

Sounds like a paradox, right? And yet – let’s look at what “I can’t” is about.

When you go into “I can’t” it generally represents belief in a limitation of some kind, or an inability. And it can show up in a variety of ways, some of which are straightforward and more obvious, such as:

1) I can’t get out of debt because …..
2) I can’t stop worrying because……
3) I can’t find the “right” relationship because….
4) I can’t lose weight because……

Some of the less obvious ways “I can’t” can show up include:

1) I seem to be unable to (get my checkbook to reconcile, make my wardrobe work for me easily, write, speak in front of groups, ….).
2) I never (arrive on time, finish all the work on my desk, get caught up with the laundry).
3) I’m just not the kind of person who (speaks up comfortably, asks for what I really want, rocks the boat……).
4) I don’t seem to ever (be the one who gets the promotion, get caught up, …).

Recently, someone called me to accountability when I had a not so obvious “I can’t” slip out of my mouth. This sparked a new awareness for me: Look to where you have non-movement in your life as a way to unearth some of those more subtle “I can’ts.”

Hold this “I can’t” discovery process as a treasure hunt, because there IS treasure at the end of this process. Here’s why:

In the journey of exploration, you can give yourself the gift of deeper connection with Self. If you consider the “I can’t” is simply a voice within doing its best to offer wisdom or protection, it makes it easier to embrace that voice/part of the self.

Willingness to hear that voice can not only move you past the resistance to movement held by that part of the self, it can also give you access to the gifts and skills held by this part.

What this means is “I can’t” is no longer a trap of any kind. It doesn’t get to hold you back if you use the I can’t” when it shows up, as a call to exploration and insight, and the resulting empowerment.

Think of your “I can’ts” as big juicy pumpkins hidden beneath heavily leaved vines. Go wading in the metaphorical pumpkin patch to find the juiciest fruit, and savor the resulting awareness and movement you are able to access for yourself!

To support yourself in this process, see the Transformation Corner section of this newsletter.

You also have the option of having this process facilitated. For those of you who “want it now!” - contact my office to explore how you can get access to my direct support in transforming your relationship with your “I can’ts” and the parts of you holding the related limited beliefs.

And as always, be sure you enjoy the journey!

Hugs,
